This colourful warm cheese makes a great party dish served with thin slices of baguette.
1 lb (500 g) round of Ontario Brie Cheese
2 tsp (10 mL) Amaretto or Frangelico liqueur (optional)
1 tbsp (15 mL) packed brown sugar
1 cup (250 mL) Ontario Strawberries (preferably small ), hulled
2 tbsp (25 mL) Ontario Maple Syrup
2 tbsp (25 mL) sliced almonds or filberts

With sharp knife, remove top rind from cheese. Place cheese in ovenproof dish just slightly bigger than cheese. Pour liqueur over top (if using). Sprinkle with brown sugar.
Arrange strawberries stem-side down, on cheese to cover top. Drizzle with maple syrup; sprinkle with nuts.
Place dish on unlit side of barbecue on medium heat; close lid and grill for about 15 minutes or until cheese is soft and starts to ooze over the edge.
Note: To warm in a microwave oven, place in microwaveable dish. Cook, uncovered, at Medium-High (70%) power for 2 minutes or until slightly softened. Let stand for 5 minutes.
